As a full EU member Bulgaria gains the opportunity to benefit from the EU policy for economic and social cohesion through the subsidies from the European financing programmes. It is a possibility aimed towards the public and private sector in the country, which will have the real chance to utilize EUR 7 billion from the Structural and Cohesion fund in the period from 2007 to 2013 for the development and modernization of different spheres of Bulgarian economy. The application for EU financing will occur after filing of a detailed developped project. The seventh Operative programmes upon which Bulgaria will receive grants are:
